Made for a lifetime
Care
Gold does not tarnish, and most stones are harder than anything they will meet in a day. A little attention keeps a piece looking as it did when it left the bench.
Gold
18k gold is soft enough to take fine marks over time; this is patina, not damage. Remove rings before lifting weights, gardening or handling bleach. Matte and hammered surfaces polish themselves slightly with wear; we can restore the texture at any time.
Stones
Diamonds and sapphires can be washed in warm water with a drop of mild soap and a soft brush. Emeralds are more delicate: avoid ultrasonic cleaners, heat and sudden changes in temperature, and keep them away from perfume and oils.
Pearls
Pearls are organic and the softest thing we set. Put them on last, after perfume and creams, and take them off first. Wipe them with a soft damp cloth after wearing and store them apart from harder pieces.
Storage
Keep each piece in its own pouch or compartment so chains do not knot and stones do not scratch one another. The box we send is designed for this.

Cleaning
Bring or send any Orla piece to the atelier and we will clean it, check the settings and refresh the polish, free of charge, for as long as you own it. Allow five working days if you send it by post.
